MEMORANDUM
March 17, 2008
TO: General Books
FROM: Leslie Hulse
I’m pleased to announce that starting today Suzie Sisoler has taken on the role of Director, Online Consumer Marketing, reporting to me. In this new position Suzie will take the strategic lead in developing our industry-leading online consumer marketing programs, including AuthorTracker, First Look, Newsletters and any other company-wide web initiatives that drive traffic to our sites and lead to consumer registration.
Suzie brings a lot of great experience to this new job: after joining HarperCollins in 2000 she spent five years as an Online Marketing Manager for the General Books Group working on online campaigns for Rebecca Wells, Michael Crichton, Terry Pratchett and Bernard Cornwell. In 2005 she joined the Children’s Online Marketing team and has driven the fabulous monthly online promotions for Lemony Snicket and Warriors and relaunched the Warriors and I Can Read! websites. Suzie has continually set up innovative online marketing promotions that have led to significant consumer sign-ups; under her stewardship the Lemony Snicket viral video campaign received more than 1 million views and the Erin Hunter AuthorTracker list is up 900% (from 3k to 30k subscribers).
In this new role, Suzie will work closely with me, the Internet Development Group and all of you to develop strategic plans for Sneak Peek and Full Access Browse Inside, and to relaunch our most successful online membership programs. In the coming weeks, she’ll be reaching out to the Publishers and Marketing Teams from both divisions to gather ideas and create concepts for development. In the meantime, please join me in congratulating her on this well-deserved promotion.
