Intentionality Yield Big Results … 67/67

BTCKyle

In business if you play small you get small results. Play big though and your results go through the roof. Take Michael Drew for instance. Since the age of 19 Michael has been steering towards a 67/67 books on best seller lists track record.

In 6 months of working with Michael Drew, here are two KEY pieces I have found that make him successful:

1) He takes on great leaders, thinkers, and business owners as mentors. Both these gentleman are Michael’s key mentors.

a) Roy H Williams Jr, (aka the Wizard of Ads) is a best-selling author and one of the greatest marketing minds of the last 50 years. Roy is friends with thought leaders and business owners from around the world.

b) Ray Bard from Bard Press owns one of the most well respected co-publishing companies in the book industry. They only publish 1-3 books per year. The ones they do publish though are very successful. Including BNI’s Ivan Misner’s book “Masters of Networking”.

The value that spills from Roy and Ray to Michael, then moves into Michael’s clients’ world (remember 67/67 best-selling clients).

2) Intentionality – this is one of the biggest lessons I have learned from Michael. If you’re not intentional you will float around the ocean, like a ship without a rudder, rather  than knowing your destination and aligning accordingly.

Remove the fluff and respectfully cut to the chase with your message and goals. Michael does exactly this when he spoke at the Speakers and Authors Networking Group.

The easy road is to “play small” and bounce around from idea to idea. What separates true contenders is their commitment to staying intentional and on plan. For a number of years I bounced around in various roles: Band Manager, Marketing Coordinator, and Real Estate Investor. Working with Michael Drew is scary and exciting, because I know that habit is going to break. It is a good kind of scary though!

Who do you have to help you stay focused?

And if you are not getting the results you are seeking, what is missing?

very well written, I would have to say that I don’t have a goal right now. So it is impossible to focus if there is no end in sight.
    what is your goal?

    Hey Chantal – thanks :)

Currently it’s to build my life, so I get to do more and more of what inspires me. Currently that’s blogging regularly, learning from Michael, working with a great team, meeting people across North America – who are business owners, bloggers, authors, young entrepreneurs — and just flat out find ways to serve them.

Also, to focus on my relationship with my mom. That’s so key. After losing my dad this year, family has only risen in importance.

A big one, is giving up trying to be everything to everyone.

Also, I’d love to see changes in the way people interact. More authentic exchanges, with honesty, love and support. The environment is big for me too. This one isn’t as clear, but I’d love to buy a huge plot of land, so it can be forever preserved as a “natural area”. It’s sad to see the environmental devastation that continues to happen.

    There’s so many things!!

I do have a mission to deeply and positively impact at least one million people. Told Michael about this … and he thinks it’s totally doable. As long as I get clear about how to measure that.

    Did I just overwhelm you?

    lol
