Juggling It All – Do You or Don’t You? Do it Better.

BTCLynne

What is with this incessant need to juggle everything?  To do it all and take on even more.  Does it force you to multi-task or to do things halfway?  Does it allow you to be the best at anything or everythingYou can do better.

It’s often been said that if you want to get something done, give it to a busy person.  But how busy is too busy and at what cost? Or if you want to be successful, do what successful people do.

If your life is like mine and sometimes feel you’re like it’s an “all you can eat” buffet, then how do you gauge what’s on your plate.  When you keep piling things on your plate, stuff is bound to fall off.  It’s often not the stuff you should get rid of or let go of, it’s the important stuff we take for granted – health & wellness, sleep, family & friends and relaxation.

Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. “Can” simply means that you have the ability.  “May” means permission.  Perhaps a better question to ask yourself would be “may I do it?”  Then before you answer take a look at what’s going on in your life both personally and professionally.

The only way you’re going to truly succeed and be successful is if you find that formula that works for you. It’s important to take care of yourself so find a routine that works for you.

HEALTH & WELLNESS ~ Many busy people like running for the simple fact that it works your cardio, it’s quick and easy, you can do it pretty much anywhere (i.e.: when traveling), and it allows you to have the time to think and organize your thoughts while you’re running.  The Running Room offers lots of training programs (beginner to advanced) to get you up and running <pun intended> as well as all the information you’ll need to start or improve a running program.   Eat a well-balanced diet to ensure that you fuel your body properly for work, rest and play.

SLEEP ~ Get a good night’s rest.  The Importance of Sleep:  Six reasons not to scrimp on sleep.

If you’re anything like me and often have trouble simple unwinding at the end of the day – not to mention the fact that I’m a night owl, you want to sleep as soon as you decide to and and wake when you want. H-TRIO offers great little all natural products to help you when your asleep or awake – Release PM and Release AM.  To find out more about these an other products, please visit www.htrio.com/handler.

FAMILY & FRIENDS ~ Connect with your family and friends whether they are near or far.  Make time for them while you can.

RELAXATION ~ Do something you really enjoy each and every day.  Make time to play (if you remember how).  Laugh! It releases endorphins which make you feel good.

Consider yourself challenged to be a better you. And I will continue to strive to be a better me.  Let me know how it goes.  Comments and suggestions are welcome.

In the book, The Little Red Book of Sales, Jeff Gitomer talks about how best wins. More specifically, you can’t be the best person for other people until you are the best person for yourself. Taking care of yourself is the centerpiece to long term success.

I use an all-natural product that helps me sleep at the end of the day. It’s roughly a liter of Yellowtail Chardonnay. I used to have trouble falling asleep. Now I wake up at 6am like clockwock, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Bit of a hangover, but I think I prefer it to jet-lag.
