Controlling the Christmas Blitz – Avoiding Terry Tate, The “Office Linebacker”

By Kyle McNeil - Dec 23 , 2010
If you’re like many of us, Christmas can be a really stressful time. In fact just yesterday, Michael Drew and I both separately wrote about how true that can be.
Today, I wanted to lighten it up a touch, leaving you with the best of the best in controlling the Christmas blitz.
- Sometimes the best way to move forward is to stop.
- Dedicate time to being grateful for what you do have.
- The power of real.
Similar to making a mistake when Terry Tate, aka “The Office Linebacker” is around, if we’re not careful, Christmas has the propensity to tackle us when we least expect it!
3 Steps to keep Terry Tate and the “Christmas Blitz” on the sidelines. Here’s how:
- Sometimes the best way to move forward is to stop; there’s a reason Stephen Covey talks about “Sharpening the Saw”. How long will you use a blade that gets duller everyday? For this very reason I’m looking forward to some days off, because a sharp blade makes work fast and knocks on the door of achievement much faster.
- This may seem like “fluffy” law of attraction stuff, but without sincere gratitude, how can we truly get and achieve more if we don’t appreciate what we’ve got and how far we’ve come? Ironically, even though being grateful can be such a humbling experience, it’s one of the most powerful things you can tap into. I challenge you to try it out. What are you grateful for?

Use the Holiday Season to your advantage, sharpen you saw, find time to be grateful and real. There’s massive leverage in this.
What are you grateful for?
Merry Christmas!!
