Here, we’ll look at the story of a spontaneous personality, based (as with our competitive, and Dorothy) on a character from the classic tale The Wizard of Oz.
In The Wizard of Oz, the Lion, who seeks courage, is both shy and clumsy, yet loveable and charismatic. He’s afraid of almost everything, but for some reason people are still attracted to his sincere and fun-loving character. The Lion loves to be the center of attention and involved in everyone else’s business. These are common characteristics of people with a spontaneous personality type.
Spontaneous types of people excel at staying in the moment. They are present for others, for what’s happening. They enjoy what’s right in front of them because they appreciate that immediacy of experience. Usually spontaneous personality types are playful, energetic and adept at multitasking (as much as anyone can actually multi-task). A spontaneous personality type will work with the first business or service provider that can fill their immediate need. If they have a wonderful experience with you, they’ll be sure to send friends your way—and share your business in any way they can.
In our next post, we’ll look at the story of the Lion (or the Cowardly Lion) as it unfolds in The Wizard of Oz. Remember, the scenario or narrative of a persona is like a quick synopsis of a person’s life story. Persona scenarios cover important life events that shape a person’s wants, needs and motivations. Basically, it’s the back story of a person’s life, explains what makes him or her “tick” and makes the persona feel like a real person.
